Anyone looking after livestock is entering into a duty of care. Please take this commitment seriously, and always ensure our feathered friends are well looked after at all times. I have provided outline information to help you care for your canaries in a responsible manner. Remember, your canaries cannot ask for help. They can only depend upon you to cater for them, to the best of your abilities. The information is divided into the four seasons of the year, dealing with each week in succession. The guide covers many aspects of canary husbandry, including general welfare, breeding, moulting and exhibition matters. Advice regarding ailments and potential remedies is not provided. Should you have an ill bird, then a visit to a qualified veterinarian is always advisable.
